Research & Development Partnering

A welcoming culture of collaborative research and development
East Netherlands is focused on bringing academic and industry R&D players together in dynamic, creative communities related to food, health and technology.
The region offers the perfect environment in which to accelerate commercialization and to develop future innovative products and services. It is dedicated to help global companies establish a foothold in local food, health and technology R&D communities and markets.

Collaboration, facility sharing
There is close cooperation between major academic research centers such as the universities of Wageningen (food), Nijmegen (health) and Enschede (technology) and many of their industrial partners. Partners in collaboration networks often share facilities such as equipment, incubator centers, business accelerators, clean rooms, and coaching and training programs.

Professional network associations and organizations
Professional network organizations and membership-based regional partnering associations serve as excellent tools for business and R&D partnering. Among many other things, they assist in finding venture capital or tapping other funding opportunities such as the EU's Framework Programmes and national and regional stimulus programs.
