Health Valley is home to a network of leading health and technology research players working in disciplines that will deliver a new generation of medical breakthroughs to the clinic and to the market place.

Molecular Medicine, with the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences (NCMLS), linked to Radboud University Nijmegen, as a leading center of multidisciplinary research into molecular disease mechanisms, and the MIRA Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine well known for its work on regenerative medicine and drug delivery systems.

Diagnostics and Imaging, with a Molecule-to-Man (M2M) imaging platform giving access to state-of-the-art imaging tools and facilities for studying molecules, cells and whole organisms, and a Medical Imaging open innovation center set up by Twente University and amongst others Siemens.

Nanotechnology for Point of Care, with the Enschede-based MESA+ Institute as one of the world's largest nanotechnology research centers, developing lab-on-a-chip diagnostic biosensors and new combinations of sensor and eHealth technology. ?

Rehabilitation and Robotics, with the Roessingh Rehabilitation Clinic and Research Institute, Sint Maartens hospital and the MIRA Institute as major contributors to rehabilitation technology and pain management solutions, and the LEO Robotics Center developing robotics for care and cure.

Technical Medicine, with University of Twente teaching students a dedicated engineering & medicine program, delivering graduates uniquely qualified to bring innovative medical technologies into the clinic.
