Food companies planning major investments in East Netherlands

East Netherlands has long been a stronghold for the food industry. Even during these difficult economic times, food companies are making investments to secure their positions. Oost NV has been instrumental in helping three separate companies to make significant investments in the region.

The first company is a producer of milk powder and butter. They will be investing €250 million and creating 150 jobs one of the the following cities: Doetinchem, Borculo or Barneveld, all located in East Netherlands.

The second is a baby food production factory. The choice of an investment of €150 million and the creation of 65 jobs is now between Germany and Borculo. Oost NV has a strong feeling that Borculo will be the favored choice.

Lastly, Oost NV was approached by a large cheese factory regarding a location in the area. If it is successful, it will mean an investment of €150 million and 110 jobs.

In total, this means a potential investment of €550 million and 325 jobs, all in the food industry in East Netherlands.
