Ground breaking ceremony for new Hitachi Data Systems operations in Holland

Japanese electronics company to build 35,000 sqm building in Zaltbommel

Hitachi Data Systems broke ground for a new 35,000 square meter facility in Zaltbommel on Monday 19 December. The building is scheduled for completion in April 2013 and is meant to be a model for sustainability. Climate control in the building will be controlled with an underground heat/cold storage and the roof will provide parking spaces for 200 cars. Operations in Zaltbommel will include assembly and value added logistics.

The ground breaking was performed by Frans van Rijn (VP at Hitachi Data Systems), Han Looijen (Alderman city of Zaltbommel), Walter Issing (director Kadans property development) and Jeroen de Bonth (director Hercuton construction).
