The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation will open a new Netherlands Foreign Investment (NFIA) office in Brazil next year.
This was announced by the Minister for Foreign Trade, Henk Bleker, during a seminar in Brazil on possibilities for bilateral trade and investment between Brazil and the Netherlands.
The Brazilian economy is growing (7.5% in 2010) and is opening up to the outside world. Brazilian companies are internationalizing more and more. Foreign direct investments by Brazilian companies over the past years have increased and further growth is expected. In order to respond to that development the Ministry will open up an NFIA office at the Dutch consulate-general in São Paulo in 2012.
Holland is an attractive location for Brazilian companies because of its central position in the economic heart of Europe, good infrastructure, strong presence of innovation and creativity as well as multilingual, internationally oriented and highly educated labor force. Additionally, Holland offers a developed and stable economy, an attractive fiscal climate and thousands of foreign companies - including some large Brazilian ones - that have already found their way.
